Jules Bailey Picks up Endorsement

Transit workers throw their support behind underdog.

A new poll may have put Multnomah County Commissioner Jules Bailey significantly behind frontrunner Ted Wheeler in the race to succeed Portland Mayor Charlie Hales but he continues to pick up endorsements.

“Jules comes from a union household and understands our issues. He’s worked with us and stood by us, and we’re standing with him,” said Mary Longoria, Financial Secretary of ATU 757.

Local 757 of the Amalgamated Transit Union, which represents TriMet drivers, endorsed Bailey on Wednesday.
