LinkedIn: San Francisco Workers Choose Portland First When Relocating

When seeking a new place to live, San Francisco residents find Portland most compatible with their established lifestyles, SFGATE reports.

PORTLAND, OR – A March Workforce Report by online employment network LinkedIn has found San Francisco residents more inclined to choose the Portland metro region when relocating from the Bay Area.

As reported by SFGATE , a San Francisco Chronicle affiliate website, about four out of every 10,000 San Francisco LinkedIn members moved to Portland in the past 12 months.

Seattle and Austin, Texas, followed as second and third, respectively.

According to SFGATE reporter Alix Martichoux, Bay Area residents seeking "a political climate and a food scene that feel close to home (without the sky-high rent prices)" found Portland the most appealing.
