Lockout At Jesuit High School In Portland: Update
The lockout was announced at 2:20 p.m. Wednesday. Officials lifted the lockout just before 3 p.m.

PORTLAND, OR — Officials at Jesuit High School in Portland initiated a lockout around 2:20 p.m. Wednesday due to police activity in the area. There was no immediate threat to the school or its students and staff, officials said. The lockout was a protective measure while Beaverton police and Washington County deputies searched for a burglary suspect.
All exterior doors and gates were locked, and all students were told to remain inside during the lockout, officials said.
Students were scheduled for release at 2:30 p.m., but were held until the lockout was lifted at 2:50 p.m., according to a message on the school's website.

For their safety and the safety of officers and students in the area, parents were asked not to come to the school to pick up their kids until the lockout was lifted.
Jesuit High School is located at 9000 S.W. Beaverton-Hillsdale Hwy.
