Man Arrested For Burglarizing Bike Shop, Stealing Bicycles: Portland Police

This is the 29th arrest or citation for Derek Conley since September 2001.

PORTLAND, OR — After allegedly robbing the Outer Rim Bicycle Shop in the Parkrose Heights neighborhood, a man with an extensive criminal history in Multnomah County was arrested near the place where police recovered the stolen merchandise.

Derek Brandon Conley, 34, was taken to the Multnomah County Detention Center on charges of burglary, theft, and criminal mischief. His bail is set at $22,500.

Police say Conley was "associated with a vehicle" near where they'd found two brand new bicycles — one with an Outer Rim price tag — that had been hidden in some bushes south of the Outer Rim Bicycle Shop shortly after 3:30 a.m. Sept. 12.
