Teen Faces Attempted Murder Charges for Trying to Kill Man Who Refused to Buy Pot

A second teen is charged with robbery and assault.

A juvenile is under arrest, charged with attempted murder and robbery, after he allegedly attacked a man who refused to buy marijuana from him and and an associate.

It happened around 10:30 Sunday night around Southwest 257th Avenue and Southwest Hensley Road.

The victim, an 18-year-old who was skateboarding home, told sheriff's deputies that 17-year-old Jose Benjamin Aburto-Villabos and 19-year-old Yafeth Pozos attacked him after he refused to buy marijuana.

As the man fled, a shot was fired at him but he was not hit. His skateboard was stolen as well.

Pozos is in Multnomah County Jail and Aburto-Villabos is being held at the Donald Long Juvenile Detention Facility.

Aburto-Villabos is charged with attempted murder, assault, robbery, and unlawful use of a weapon.

Pozos is charged with robbery and assault.

A 9mm gun was recovered.
