Man Charged with Murder in Downtown Shooting That Also Wounded Woman

Portland Police have arrested a man and charged him with murder after he allegedly shot and killed a man and wounded a woman Sunday night.

Portland Police say it happened around 10:15 Sunday night on Northwest 4th between Couch and Davis.

The two people had each been shot once.

The man was dead by the time the police arrived. The woman, who was shot in the leg, was transported to a local hospital.

Portland Police have arrested 48-year-old Thomas Lincoln Dorris and charged him with murder.

He was detained a short time after the shooting near the Chevron Station on Burnside and 3rd.

Police do not believe the shooting was related to any Portland Pride activities.
