Body Found In Trunk Monday Was Missing Portland Woman

A man is charged with the murder of Marcine Herinck, who was found dead in the trunk of his car after going missing last week.

PORTLAND, OR — When Marcine Herinck disappeared Sept. 19 police figured the 89-year-old with memory issues might have wandered off. As they investigated, however, it became clear foul play might be a possibility.

On Wednesday morning, Portland Police announced that was the case; Herinck was found dead Monday night — the victim of homicidal violence. Get all the latest information on what's happening in your community by signing up for Patch's newsletters and breaking news alerts.

Herinck was found in the trunk of a Toyota Camry being driven in the 9200-block of Southeast Holgate Boulevard. The driver of the car, 58-year-old Timothy Mackley, has been charged with her murder.
