'Marijuana Retail Couriers' OK: Commissioners

One pot business owner: 'It's not like delivering pizza.'

(Posted Dec. 22, 2016) PORTLAND, OR — Portland commissioners have unanimously approved an ordinance that adds a license for delivery-only cannabis businesses that allows "microbusiness entrepreneurs" to enter the marijuana market. Businesses operating as "marijuana retail couriers" wouldn't be able to set up a storefront, and could only receive and deliver orders during certain hours within the city limits, KATA reported. Their headquarters can't be operated within 1,000 feet of a school, but they can deliver to homes within that area.
