Marion County Sheriff's Cadet Shares Invasive Photo Of Fellow Cadet's 'Intimate Area'
Brooke Eshelman-Beidler allegedly shared a recording in May, police said. She was charged July 6 and arraigned July 19.

SALEM, OR — The Marion County Sheriff's cadet who allegedly shared a visual recording of a fellow cadet's "intimate area" on a photo sharing app was arraigned in court Wednesday.
According to court documents, 18-year-old Brooke Eshelman-Beidler on May 19 distributed invasive images of a fellow cadet on a photo sharing application. That move led Sheriff's officials to place Eshelman-Beidler on administrative leave immediately, police said. (Out of respect, Patch has chosen not to publish the victim's name.)
On July 6, Eshelman-Beidler was officially charged with invasion of personal privacy, a misdemeanor. Her next court appearance is scheduled for Aug. 22 in Salem.

Eshelman-Beidler's alleged image distribution occurred just days before former Playboy Playmate Dani Mathers was sentenced in a similar, high-profile case out of Los Angeles, which saw Mathers accused of posting online images of a naked 71-year-old woman who was in a gym locker room.
For that invasion of privacy misdemeanor charge, Mathers pleaded no contest and was sentenced to probation for three years, to clean graffiti for 30 days, and to replace the victim's backpack seen in the photo so she wouldn't be as easily recognized, according to Brian Melley for the Associated Press.
