That Mess on The Morrison Bridge? That was a Guy Getting Arrested for Carjacking

It was not a good day for Casey Graham who is charged with robbery, unlawful use of a vehicle and other crimes.

The third time may normally be the charm but it was more of a mixed bag for Casey Graham on Saturday. Portland Police say that while it was the third time that he tried to steal a car that he was successful but that was also the attempt that led to him crashing on the Morrison BridgeI5 and getting arrested.

The drama started at the intersection of Southwest Garden Home and Oleson Road, police say.

Detectives believe that Graham got into a car, not realizing it was already occupied. When he was confronted, he fled. He then approached a woman nearby and demanded her keys. Police say he was confronted again, this time by an employee of a nearby restaurant. He fled again.

Police say that he finally found a car that was empty - and running. He got in and headed over to the Morrison Bridge on-ramp to I-84 where, police say, he crashed the car. He tried to carjack a fourth vehicle but was arrested.
