Missing Grants Pass Man May Be In Portland Area, Police Say
Robert Carton, 88, was last seen by his wife in late September, police said. He was recently diagnosed with dementia.

PORTLAND, OR — In coordination with the Josephine County Sheriff's Office, Portland police are searching for a missing 88-year-old Grants Pass man and they've asked the community for help.
Robert Carton was reported missing in Josephine County in late September, police said. Mary, Carton's wife, told KOBI News in Medford that her husband was recently diagnosed with dementia, and that he could be driving to his brother's home in Washington State — but he reportedly never made it.
Through their investigation, missing persons detectives learned Carton could now be in the Portland metro area.

Carton is a white male, 5-foot-7 and 140 pounds. He has blue eyes, is bald, and currently has a black eye with stitches, which he received from a fall shortly before going missing, KOBI reported. Carton's right arm is also likely in a sling, according to police.
Police say Carton is probably driving a white 1996 Dodge Caravan with Oregon license plate "UXJ 139;" "Night Patrol" is written on the van's rear, police said.
