Body of Missing Portland Man Believed Found

Duane Irving Anderson has not been seen since Wednesday. On Friday. deputies believe they found his body on Neahkanie Mountain.

A body - believed to be that of Duane Irving Anderson who had not been seen Wednesday - has been recovered on Neahkanie Mountain in Tillamook County, according to Portland Police.

They say that the body was recovered on Friday and the family wanted to express gratitude to Portland Police Bureau, US Coast Guard, Manzanita Police and Fire, Tillamook County Sheriff, and Tillamook County Search and Rescue for helping find Anderson.

He had last been seen Wednesday morning around 9:30 when he left the Lloyd Athletic Club at 815 Northeast Halsey Avenue. He was supposedly going golfing but never made it to any of his preferred courses: Glendoveer, Eastmoreland, Colwood, or Broadmoor Golf Club.

He also never made it to home.

His car - a 2010 Toyota Prius - was found Thursday by the Tillamook County Sheriff's Office along the coast. The Coast Guard asssisted in the marine part of the search.

Police were told that Anderson had been in good health and it's out of character for him to disappear like this.
