No Injuries in Early Morning Blaze

Firefighters from Hillsboro Fire and Tualatin Valley Fire and Rescue needed 40 minutes to bring the blaze under control.

There were no injuries early Tuesday morning when a fire tore through a home in the Rock Creek section of Washington County.

It happened around 4:00 a.m. on the 440 block of Northeast Metolius Court.

Arriving firefighters were greeted by heavy fire in the garage and spreading to the home.

The one person who lived there was already outside.

She had smelled smoke, went downstairs to investigate and discovered the fire.

It took firefighters from Hillsboro Fire and Tualatin Valley Fire and Rescue 40 minutes to bring the fire under control.

There were no injuries and the cause is still being investigated.
