Nora the Polar Bear is Fitting in Well at the Oregon Zoo [VIDEO]

After her first week, the Oregon Zoo says she is doing well (and sends along pictures and video).

In case you're wondering - Nora, the astoundingly adorable ten-month old polar bear who arrived last week at the Oregon Zoo from Columbus, is doing just fine.

And the zoo sent some along some pictures and video to prove it.

“Nora and I have been here just short of a week now," one of Nora's keepers from Columbus, Devon Sabo said. "She has done better than I could have imagined, which is really great for me to see — tackling all her new adventures, playing with her toys, diving in her pool, getting to know the new keepers."

Sabo, who helped with Nora’s hand-rearing from the time the cub was 30 days old, bid a tearful goodbye to her young charge yesterday before catching an early flight back to Ohio this morning.

"It’s sad to see her go, but I’m very happy for her,” Sabo said. "I’m so excited for her to have a new friend."

Nora will remain in quarantine for roughly three more weeks - standard practice - and then she will get to meet Tasul, the zoo's 31-year-old female bear. Tasul lost her twin brother, Conrad, earlier this summer.
