Portland, somebody just doesn't want you to get to work today. A chunk of a hillside slid onto Highway 99W early Tuesday morning blocking a northbound lane near Southwest Bull Mountain Road. Crews are currently with the slide but have no estimate on re-opening the lane, Oregon Live reports.
Highway 99W is busy on the best of days, this blockage will cause major delays for northbound drivers (and TriMet bus line #94) as well as slowing for southbound commuters.
Another hazard for commuters has been standing water on the roads. Many areas have checked in reporting flooded streets including Highway 503 just north of Padden Parkway in Vancouver and Northeast 28th Avenue at Wasco Street in Portland.
