Gresham Man Dies 3 Days After Late Night I-84 Crash, Police Say

Nathaniel TenEyck was seriously hurt when he crashed his Honda near Exit 9 at the I-84/I-205 interchange just after midnight Jan 12.

PORTLAND, OR — The man who was hurt in a crash on Interstate-84 near the Interstate-205 interchange early Jan. 12 has died, police said Thursday.

Gresham resident Nathaniel Lee TenEyck, 27, on Jan. 15 died of injuries he sustained in the one-car crash.

TenEyck was traveling east on I-84 when for unknown reasons he crashed his Honda Civic near Exit 9 just around 12 a.m. Jan. 12. He was the vehicle's sole occupant, police believe.

When first responders arrived, civilians were reportedly giving TenEyck CPR. He was quickly taken to hospital by ambulance, police said.

A large section of I-84 and I-205 was closed at Exit 9 while police investigated.
