OPB: Poll Gives Wheeler Strong Lead But Will It Be Enough?
New poll gives him sizable lead but will like still have to face someone in November runoff.

You would think a new poll would give Portland Mayoral candidate Ted Wheeler a sense of comfort.
But the poll - done for OPB by DHM Research and released Tuesday - shows his lead shrinking.
It's not so bad that he is any danger of not finishing first in the primary next week but it does show his lead shrank from a poll done last month.

And it does show that he will likely have to face a run-off in November against whomever finishes second.
At this point, that would be Jules Bailey who has nine percent, compared to 33 percent for Wheeler.

Bruce Broussard is in third with four percent. followed by Sarah Iannarone who drew two percent.
There are 11 other candidates.
The election is May 17.
