Oregon Ducks Get NCAA Number One Seed

The Oregon Ducks Men's Basketball Team are going to the big dance as the number one seed in the West.
They open Friday in Spokane against the winner of Holy Cross/Southern.
They got the nod along with North Carolina, Kansas, and Virginia.

It's the highest seed ever for the Ducks. Their previous best was in 2002 when they got a number two ranking.
The Ducks on Saturday won the Pac-12 title, decisively beating the top-ranked Utes from Utah, 88-57.

If the Ducks make it out of the first weekend, they will head to Anaheim for the Sweet Sixteen and Elite Eight.
The Ducks, who are 28-6, are riding an eight-game winning streak going into the tournament.
Their last loss came February 13 at Stanford.
They did not lose to a ranked team at all this season.
Meanwhile, the Oregon State Beavers also made the cut.
The tournament organizers have placed them in the West, the Ducks's bracket.
The Beavers will play VCU Friday in round one in Oklahoma City.
It's the first time that the Beavers and Ducks have been in the NCAA at the same time.
