Oregon Standoff Latest: Prosecutors Say Ryan Bundy Plotted to Escape
They say he had tied his bedsheets into a rope about 15-feet-long.

Ryan Bundy tore his bed sheets and tied them into a rope about 15-feet-long in an attempt to escape Multnomah County Jail, prosecutors said Mondau.
Bundy is one of 26 people who were indicted in connection with the 41-day armed takeover of the Malheur National Wildlife Refuge.
The string of "rope" was discovered under his mattress during an April 8th search of his cell.

They also found extra pillow cases and towels as well as an extra container of food.
Bundy told the judge "it's simply not true" that he was trying to escape.

Bundy, unlike his brother Ammon, is representing himself in the case.
Ryan wasn't charged with attempting to escape but was written up the jail for possession of contraband and misuse of jail property.
