Oregon Voter Turnout Declines Significantly From 2016, 2014
After breaking 70 percent in the last midterm and 80 percent in 2016's presidential election, the number of Oregonians who voted dropped.

PORTLAND, OR – For a state that prides itself on its activism and civic involvement, a lot of Oregonians couldn't be bothered to vote on Tuesday. The percentage of votes cast dropped around 10 percent from the last midterms in 2014 and around 20 percent from the presidential election in 2016.
As of Wednesday morning, 1,735,800 ballots had been received – a turnout of just under 63 percent.
In 2014, the last midterm election, voter turnout was just under 71 percent and in 2016, voter turnout climbed just above 80 percent.

As usually happens in the final day, turnout did climb.
Turnout jumped more than 20 percent since Sunday when it was under 40 percent.
