Woman Killed In Car Versus Pedestrian Crash Wednesday
Elizabeth Meyers was walking on NE Sandy Blvd when she was struck by a Toyota Camry Wednesday morning, police said.

PORTLAND, OR — A 60-year-old woman was killed when she was hit by a Toyota Camry on Northeast Sandy Boulevard Wednesday morning, according to the Portland Police Bureau. The driver reportedly stayed at the scene of the crash and cooperated with investigators.
Just after 7:15 a.m. Dec. 20, Elizabeth B. Meyers was walking in the 7800-block of Northeast Sandy Boulevard, in the Roseway area, when she was struck by the Camry. First responders on the scene determined Meyers had died from her injuries.
The Traffic Division's Major Crash Team reportedly investigated and found no reason to believe impaired or distracted driving were factors in the collision.

Northeast Sandy Boulevard was closed from Northeast 75th Avenue to Northeast 79th Avenue for several hours while traffic teams investigated what is now the 50th traffic fatality in Portland this year.
