Police: Cyclist Who Blew a Red Light and Crashed into a Car Cited for Careless Driving

Portland Police say that a bicyclist who ran a red light and crashed into a car has been ticketed for failing to obey a traffic control device and careless driving.
It was around 7:15 Monday morning.
Police say that Donna Leslie was riding her bicycle south on NE 15th Avenue and ran the red light at Weidler Street.

David Kennedy was driving east on Weidler and hit her.
Leslie, who was wearing a helmet, was taken to a hospital.

Kennedy stayed at the scene and was cooperative, according to police.
He was not cited.
