Police Investigate Random Shooting In Southeast Portland
The shooting occurred around 2:30 a.m. Aug. 1 near Southeast Seventh Avenue and Southeast Stark Street, police said. One person was injured.

PORTLAND, OR — An apparently random shooting in Southeast Portland is being investigated by police Tuesday, according to bureau officials. One man was shot and taken to hospital with life-threatening injuries around 2:30 a.m. Aug. 1, police said.
The shooting occurred in the area of Southeast Seventh Avenue and Southeast Stark Street, police said.

According to witness statements, police learned the victim and a friend were driving on Southeast Stark Street, after leaving a bar in the area of Southeast Seventh Avenue, when the victim was shot.

Police have no motive for the shooting and no suspect information at this time.
