Police Name Man Accused Of Stabbing Another Man Downtown Thursday
Shawntavious Damontez Henderson allegedly stabbed a 28-year-old during an altercation near the intersection of SW College and SW 6th.

PORTLAND, OR — Police on Friday released the name of the man accused of stabbing another man during an alleged dispute in downtown Portland Thursday night.
Shawntavious Damontez Henderson (AKA Shawntaviou Henderson), 27, was booked into the Multnomah County Detention Center on one charge of second degree assault — a Class B felony. His bail is set at $250,000.
According to Portland police, officers responded to the reported stabbing near the intersection of Southwest College Street and Southwest Sixth Avenue just after 8 p.m. Nov. 9. At the scene, officers found a 28-year-old man suffering what police described as a minor, non-life-threatening stab wound. He was taken to hospital.

Before he was transported, however, police learned he and Henderson had some kind of altercation which allegedly resulted in Henderson producing a knife.
After a search of the area, officers found the knife they believe was used in the stabbing. Shortly afterward, they learned Henderson was in an apartment building about a block away, in the 1900-block of Southwest Fifth Avenue.

Henderson was located there and taken into custody, police said, noting the investigation is ongoing.
