An 18-year-old is in the hospital recovering after Portland Police say that he crashed his car into a police car while driving under the influence. Damian Begay is charged with DUII and reckless driving.Portland Police say that it was just after 11:00 Friday night and an officer was blocking the intersection of Northeast Sandy Boulevard and 112th Avenue. The officer was assisting in the investigation of a pedestrian who was struck earlier that night. Begay was driving eastbound in a 2005 Chevy Malibu at a speed above the limit and slammed into the patrol car.
