Portland 5 Things to Do This Weekend

The Highland Games, The Wizard of Oz. And, of course, Berries! Want more? We got more!

1. It's July so that means it's time for the Portland Highland Games. Celebrate the best Scottish athletic events from the caber toss to the sheaf toss (Google them). Then mix in fiddle demonstrations, border collie shepherding demonstrations, celtic songs, dance, and food. Two days of fun at Mt. Hood Community College in Gresham. Head to www.phga.org for more information.

2. Follow the Yellow Brick Road to the Sheraton Portland Airport Hotel this weekend. The 52nd Annual OzCon is coming to Portland. The three-day event celebrating L. Frank Baum and the land of Oz has a treasure hunt, dealers room, a research table, and a chance for people to share their own stories and treasures. Head to www.ozconinternational.com for more information.
