Portland 5 Things to Do This Weekend
The bridal show. Monster jams. The wurst event you could ever attend.

1. Maybe it's the fact that I was born on Valentine's Day but I have nothing but good vibes about the Original Portland Bridal Show this weekend at the Oregon Convention Center. They are the original because they were first in town, getting their start in the late 1970s. Thousands of people, hundreds of exhibitors, thousands of brides. Fashion shows. Tons on inspiration. www.portlandbridalshow.com for all the information.

2. I know it doesn't sound like fun on the face of it. It's going to be cold out. And the water is going to be even colder. But on Saturday hundreds of people will gather to raise money for Special Olympics by diving into frigid and icy waters of Oregon. There's a Winter Beach party, a 5K Fun Run/Walk. And really cold water. The important thing to remember is - it's all for a good cause. You can find all of the details here http://soor.convio.net/site/TR...

3. Plain and simple. It's the best of the wurst. It's the annual Mt. Angel celebration of German sausage. Throw in some local and German beers. Other food. Music. A 5K run. And a whole lot more. www.mtangelwurstfest.com for everything that you need to know.
4. Given how much it's been raining, how chilly it's been, how just kind of miserable the weather has been, no would blame if you thought that Spring would never get here. But like clockwork, here comes the Portland Spring Home and Garden Show at the Portland Expo Center. The Portland Orchid Society will be there with displays. There's a plant sale A landscaping competition. Head to this website for details.
