Portland 5 Things to Do This Weekend in and Around Town
It's Otter Awareness Day on Saturday. Do you really need more than that? Yes? well, we have more.

1. Saturday is Otter Awareness Day and what better place to celebrate than the Oregon Zoo? Head there - especially at either 11:30 a.m. or 2:30 in the afternoon when visitors can stop by Stellar Cove and here talks and watch the zoo's three sea otters in action. www.oregonzoo.org for more information.
2. A unique road race? A chance to see a F-15 up close? A cookie? Yes. All of those things will be on hand at Portland International Airport's North Runway on Saturday morning for a race co-sponsored by the Port of Portland and the people who put on Hood to Coast. The PDX Runway Run benefits the Boys and Girls Clubs of Portland Metropolitan Area. It is also help celebrating the airport's 75th birthday and the Port's 125th.
3. It's not like firefighter don't do enough good on a regular basis. On Sunday they will be running up the stairs at the US Bank Tower to raise money to help find a cure for cystic fibrosis. The event is from 9:00 to Noon.

4. Hempstalk is this weekend at Tom McCall Waterfront Park. From 10:00 in the morning to 10:00 at night both days. The event has been happening each year since 2005. Despite what you might think, they do enforce the no smoking ban... There wlll be crafts, speakers, food, music, and more. www.helpstalk.org for more information.
5. Who doesn't love a drive-in? Never been to one? Well, here's your chance. Check out at the Drive in at Zidell Yards on the Southwest Waterfront. www.nwfilm.org for the schedule and more.
