Portland Burglary Suspects Caught By Canine Search

Police say that one of the suspects had a handgun.

Portland Police says that three men are behind bars, charged with burglary, thanks to the efforts of two of the police bureau's K9 officers. The three had been spotted leaving a home that had been ransacked, police say.

Officers had responded to a house on the 500 block of Northeast 81st Avenue after getting a call that three men - one armed - had been seen approaching the house.

One of the officers saw a man walking out of the home with a bin of property, which police say, he then dropped and fled. Officers set up a perimeter and, with the help of two of the bureau's K9 officers, found the three suspects.

Police say that 32-year-old Warren Stanton, 25-year-old Antonio Young and 22-year-old Shakor Holiday were arrested and booked into the Multnomah County Jail on charges of Burglary in the First Degree. Holiday was also held on a parole violation.
