Portland Fire & Rescue Crews Respond To Fatal Early Morning RV Fire In Lents Neighborhood

The cause of this fire remains under investigation. There were no structures involved and no other reported victims or injuries.

At 3:35 am this morning, PF&R crews were dispatched to a reported RV on fire in the area of SE 88th Ave and SE Claybourne St. next to Glenwood Park. Upon their arrival three and a half minutes after being dispatched, crews found an RV fully engulfed with fire and worked to extinguish it and to protect other vehicles and trees from fire extension.

While extinguishing the fire, crews performed a search of the interior of the RV and found one adult inside who was deceased.

The cause of this fire remains under investigation. There were no structures involved and no other reported victims or injuries.
