Portland Man Faces Federal Drug Charges
Adam George was arrested last week with the help of his former roommate.
A Portland man who used his former roommate's name on a package to receive a shipment of drugs faced federal drug charges, according to court documents.
Adam James George was arrested las week after federal agents intercepted a package addressed to Edward Dula in North Portland. Dula hadn't lived in Portland for 2.5 years, agents would later learn.
Inside the package were five wax candles. Agents say they discovered just over one gram of Ecstasy in plastic bags hidden in the candle.

With the help of the Portland Police, agents tracked Dula down and met him at the Amtrak station in Portland where he was returning from Minneapolis where he had been taking care of his sick father.
He told agents that he had moved out on his roommate - whom he only knew as "Adam" - because the man was selling Molly or MDMA and was involved in Bitcoin and a website that was used to sell drugs, according to court papers.

Agents told him about the package with Ecstasy. Dula responded that he assumed the package was destined for his former roommate. Dula agreed to cooperate.
He reached out to Adam and told him that the package would be at the Kenton Post Office.
When Adam went to retrieve the package, he was arrested.
Agents then executed a search warrant at Adam's home and found:
multiple pieces of electronic media, i.e. computer towers, thumb drives, laptop computers, etc;
a large roll of pre-printed USPS tracking numbers;
multiple loose USPS tracking numbers;
multiple envelopes and padded envelopes for shipping;
several packages from "Shrooms-to-Go" that had contained psilocybin mushroom spores in syringes;
multiple plastic bottled which also contained psilocybin spores in various stages of germination; and
inside a rice cooker, a large Ziploc bag full of fully germinated mushrooms.
While George was released on bail, he will not be allowed to use or possess a computer, cell phone, or other electronic media that has internet access and will have to undergo a mental health evaluation and drug screening.
He will be back in court September 20th.
