Portland Man Wins $1 Million Powerball Prize

Jason Golding is now the second Portland metro resident to win $1 million this year. Both winners bought their tickets at Plaid Pantry.

PORTLAND, OR — If you're going to buy an Oregon Lottery ticket, it's starting to look like Plaid Pantry is the place to do it.

Portland resident Jason Golding won a $1 million prize from the Oregon Lottery, officials announced Wednesday, making him the second man in the Portland region to win $1 million this year — and both winners bought their tickets from Plaid Pantry stores.

In March, Clackamas resident and Vietnam Veteran Richard Leber won $1 million from the St. Patrick's Day Raffle after purchasing his ticket from a Plaid Pantry off Highway 212 near Clackamas, officials said. Golding reportedly bought his ticket from the Plaid Pantry on Marquam Hill, west of OHSU at 915 S.W. Gibbs St.
