Portland Police Arrest Man on Sex Abuse Charges, Believe More Victims May Be Out There

Wesley Zhang is also charged with luring a minor.

A 27-year-old man from Portland is under arrest, charged with sex abuse and luring a minor in connection with an incident in 2016. The event was reported this past March.

Portland Police say that Wesley Zhang first met his victim online paying a game in 2006 when she was 11-years-old. and living in Washington State.

Three years later, he allegedly started engaging in sexual behavior with her over the phone and via Skype. The following year, police say, when the girl was 15, Zhang convinced her to come to Portland where they had sex.

She reported the incident to Portland Police this past March and they worked with her to develop probable cause.

He was arrested this week.
