Portland Police Investigates Shootings That Left Two Injured

Both shootings are believed to be gang-related.

Portland Police are investigating two shootings overnight. Both are believed to be gang-related. Two people were injured in one of the incidents.

The first one occurred at the Holiday Inn at 8439 Northeast Columbia Boulevard.

Officers found an 18-year-old man with a non-life threatening injury. He was taken to the hospital along with his 19-year-old girlfriend. There, doctors discovered that she, too, had suffered a gunshot wound.

Both are expected to be okay.

Just before 3:00, officers responded to Northeast 93rd Avenue and Thompson where they found evidence of gunfire in the street. They also discovered a motorhome that had been hit by gunfire.

Neither of the people inside had been injured.

The bureau' gang enforcement team is leading both investigations.
