Portland Police Make Arrest in Food Cart Burglaries
Stolen cell phone helps lead police to suspect.

A suspect is in jail in connection with a string of food cart burglaries. Eight food cart pods in the past month have been hit.
Portland Police have arrested 32-year-old Charles Johnson in connection with at least two of the burglaries.
After the Hungaricana food cart pod at 1331 North Killingsworth Street was broken into - and a cell phone was among the stolen items - police received cell phone tracking tips from the victim.

Officers tracked the phone to the Mississippi Gateway Food Carts by North Mississippi Avenue and Fremont Street where they found Johnson.
He is charged with criminal mischief and burglary while police continue to investigate the string of burglaries over the past month.

Police say they have also linked him to the burglary of the Sherpa Nirvana cart in the 42nd Avenue Food Carts pod.
Johnson also faces charges in connection with the burglary of Tina's Corner Restaurant at 5515 Southeast 122nd Avenue in October.
