Portland Police Nab Would Be Burglars

Police responded to a 911 call from a woman who said she heard someone climbing into the house through a window.

Portland Police caught two men as they tried to flee a house early Friday morning.

Police say they believed the men had been planning to rob the house and had robbed at least one home earlier.

They had responded to a 911 call from a woman on the 4600 block of NE 109th Avenue. The woman thought someone was climbing into the house through a window in her mother's room.

Then the woman heard her mother call out for help.

Police arrived and caught one man running from the property while the other was trying to climb out a window.

The windows had been left open because of the warm weather.

The men have not been booked.
