Portland Police Say Drunk Driver Turned Out to be 11-Year-Old Runaway
Police say they stole a car and went on a joy ride.

On Wednesday morning, Portland Police responded to a report of a drunk driver fleeing the scene after crashing into two parked cars on the 4200 block of North Juneau Street.
They started searching the area, and about a mile away, found the car.
Witnesses said two people had fled the car.

They were quickly located.
The driver was an 11-year-old boy.

His passenger was a 13-year-old boy.
They are both runaways.
The car was stolen.
Police say the two had crashed into at least three vehicles.
The two are being housed at the Donald E. Long Juvenile Detention Center, charged with unlawful use of a motor vehicle.
