Portland Public Schools to File Suit Against Portland Tribune Reporter

Reporter Beth Slovic published an article Tuesday announcing Portland Public Schools intent to file suit over a public records request.

PORTLAND, OR – Portland Public Schools has informed a Pamplin Media Group reporter that it intends to sue to block the release of public records, Portland Tribune reporter Beth Slovic wrote Tuesday.

In her article titled, "Portland Public Schools will sue reporter and parent to block release of records", Slovic explains how a public records request for information related to Portland Public Schools' employees on paid administrative leave submitted last fall has escalated into litigation, spurred by Portland Public Schools interim general counsel Stephanie Harper.

Multnomah County District Attorney Rod Underhill ruled March 20 that the records being requested are public, Slovic wrote.
