Portland Public Schools: PPS Online Learning Academy Application Deadline Extended

Dear PPS Families,

Educators and public health experts agree: Our priority is to get our students back in-person full time this school year. 

We’ve been working through the entire summer, informed by public health experts, to prepare to welcome our students back to school with a set of layered health and safety measures against COVID-19.

We also recognize that some families in our community prefer not to learn in-person this Fall, which is why PPS is offering our Online Learning Academy. Families have until this Friday, August 27, to let us know if they are interested in their student participating in OLA this year. 

There is currently a waitlist for OLA, but we have been able to clear the list several times this summer and accommodate families who applied. With one week remaining before the start of the school year, spaces are limited; we cannot guarantee placement for families who apply now, but in order to be considered for a possible space in OLA, you must apply by Friday.
