Portland Public Schools is recruiting candidates for multiple paraeducator positions across the district. Paraeduators support teachers who serve students with special needs. A paraeducator position is a challenging position and is one of the most personally rewarding positions in education. It's a profession where heartfelt connections are made, small successes can change lives and no two days are ever the same.  

Our students benefit from paraeducators who exhibit patience, compassion and creativity to turn every day learning into powerful moments of joy, independence and self-confidence. 

Every student needs a champion -- someone who believes in them, treats them with respect, and supports them to accomplish what others think is impossible. This could be a great opportunity for individuals who have a passion for serving and educating students with special needs in Portland Public Schools.

Candidates need to have completed at least two years of college, or pass a ParaPro test.
