Some short term inconveniences will provide long-term safety for people along Northwest Cornell Road.On Wednesday and Thursday from 9AM -2PM, workers will be installing new fences to prevent rockslides along the road.The Portland Bureau of Transportation says the work will occur between the tunnels on Cornell, east of the Audubon Society at 5151 NW Cornell.Flaggers will direct travelers in both directions to alternate using a single lane.Expect delays.
