A man died after crashing his car into a telephone pole.

It happened around 5:14 Saturday morning.

Police were called and found a compact car crashed into a pole on Johnson Creek Boulevard by Se 37th Avenue.

The man was alone in the car and brought to a hospital in critical condition.

He died there from his injuries.

There were no apparent witness to the crash.

Johnson Creek Blvd is expected to be closed for several hours.
