Portland Police have taken a man into custody after a standoff that lasted several hours.The man had fired shots from an assault rifle into the air Tuesday morning around 9:30. The incident happened on the 6800 block of SE 72nd.The street was closed between Duke and Bybee for several hours.There are no reports of injuries or damage.The police bureau's special emergency response and crisis negotiation teams are on scene leading the response.After several hours they were able to talk the man into surrendering.
