So hot the National Weather Service tweeted about all the records set around the area - from 85 in Portland (six degrees above the previous record of 79 set in 1996) to 86 in Hillsboro (five degrees above the record, also set in 1996).

It should get back to the 80s on Friday with a significant dip for the weekend with the highs only reaching the mid-60s.
