Portland Will Get its Shot - Hamilton Coming to Town
The hit Broadway musical will come to the Rose City sometime during the 2017-18 season.

The hit hip-hop musical telling the life of the nation's first Treasury secretary is coming to town sometime during the 2017-18 season, it was announced Tuesday.
While the exact dates have not been scheduled, it will be a part of the U.S. Bank Broadway in Portland season that runs between July 2017 and the end of 2018.
So, Portland - you will have your shot at tickets. You'll just have to wait a bit longer to find out when.

The musical, by Lin-Manuel Miranda, is based on Ron Chernow's biography of Hamilton, not your usual material for a musical let alone a hip-hop one.
But the musical, which just won the Grammy for best cast album, has received acclaim across the spectrum including a recent trip to the White House whereMiranda free-styled with President Obama.
