Five of the seven quakes (so far) occurred at a depth of about six miles, USGS data shows. The fourth quake, which was the first of the smaller scale quakes, struck about 11 miles deep.
No tsunami warning was issued and no injuries were reported, though the quakes were reportedly felt by many people on the island.
While northern Washington residents also reported feeling the strongest of the earthquakes, so too did a handful of California residents more than 1,200 miles away.
