Multnomah County does not believe any PPS schools, students or staff are at risk at this time.

You might have seen recent news coverage regarding the coronavirus 2019-nCoV that has spread within and, in some cases, outside of China. We wanted to share with you some resource
information about coronavirus, courtesy of our public health partners at Multnomah
County. You can find information by clicking the links at the bottom of this
message.

Multnomah County does not believe any PPS schools, students or staff are at risk at this time. In fact, there are currently no documented cases of coronavirus in Oregon. The District will follow public health recommendations and we have paused student exchange programs and foreign field trips to and from China for now.

Portland Public Schools is following this situation closely. The internal team actively reviewing coronavirus developments includes staff from the Office of School Performance, Dual-Language Programs, Communications, Emergency Management, Risk Management, Student Success and Health, Environmental Health and Safety, and Facilities Operations.
