Race for the Roses to partially close Broadway Bridge Sunday, County Officials say
The Race for the Roses event will require a partial closure of the Broadway Bridge from 8 a.m. to 12 p.m. Sunday, April 2.

PORTLAND, OR – Multnomah County officials announced Wednesday the partial closing of the Broadway Bridge this Sunday.
From Multnomah County spokesman Mike Pullen:
"The outside eastbound lane and the south sidewalk of the Broadway Bridge will be closed on Sunday, April 2 from 8 a.m. to 12 noon during the Race for the Roses running event. At least one traffic lane will remain open in each direction as well as the north sidewalk.
"TriMet’s 17-Holgate/Broadway bus route will detour to the Steel Bridge westbound and the Burnside Bridge eastbound while the Broadway Bridge lane is closed. Portland Streetcar service will not be impacted. The bridge lift span will not open for river traffic from 7 a.m. until 12 noon.
"The N.W. Broadway ramp will be closed to motor vehicles from 5:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. between the bridge and NW Hoyt Street. West side access to the bridge will be maintained from NW Lovejoy Street."
