Repairs To NE Portland Roads To Cause Closures Saturday
The closure will allow city crews to permanently repair an area patched in March, officials said. Commuters can expect delays all day.
PORTLAND, OR — Bureau of Transportation officials on Friday sent a reminder for commuters that lanes in a six-square-block radius along Northeast Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard and Northeast Broadway Street will be closed for improvements Saturday, June 17.
Northeast Broadway Street westbound will be limited to two lanes from Northeast Sixth Avenue to Northeast Third Avenue, officials said, and Northeast Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard southbound will be restricted from Northeast Shuyler Street to Northeast Weidler Street
The all-day closures will allow crews time to permanently repair an area previously patched in March as part of a project for the Bureau of Environmental Services. Lanes will remain open to allow traffic flow, however delays can be expected.
