Teen Rescued after Fall at Angel's Rest

Fell about 150 feet

A teenager who fell about 150 feet while hiking at Angel's rest in the Gorge has been rescued and is being helicoptered to OHSU.

He should be okay.

The boy is a student at Centennial High School in Gresham.

The Multnomah County Sheriff's Office Trail Hornets along with fire personnel from the Corbett Fire Department led the rescue efforts.

The teen, from Troutdale, was originally believed to have fallen between 50 and 60 feet.

The fall took place about two miles up the trail.
